Memorial trees

In September 2007 in a square near by the monument of hero from the Warsaw Ghetto in Warsaw two apple trees have been planted to commemorate Irena Sendlerowa and her heroism during the WW2 (saving 2500 Jewish children) .

That idea was figured out by students from school for special care children in Wohenroth in Germany. That school made Irena Sendlerowa their patron in this year.

The German school bought that two apple trees and sent them to Poland.

Why actually apple trees? Because under the apple tree Irena Sendlerowa burried the jar with real names of the rescued Jewish children.
